Cleaning Sweet Corn at the Manor

Nursing Home week followed with the 5th grade band entertaining us. The catholic children came and made us a special poster wishing us a Happy Nursing Home Week May 13-19, and that we did have.

We are so blessed to have the Lions come in one a month and pop fresh popcorn for the residents.
Anything for our residents at the Pocahontas Manor!
Deb Schendel helps Jeanne Sindergard, Activity Coordinator, grill even in the snow drifts & the cold. We have only stopped grilling for 2 months and we were getting a taste for spring even with all of the snow. Deb said she would always be there with me, and late last fall we even got a little wet. We laughed and enjoyed it no matter what the weather
Pearl Sindergard & Blanche Gardewine watched as we received all this snow and could hardly believe their eyes.

February is usually a slow month, but it wasn't at the Manor. We were so busy here, never a dull moment. We want to have a lot of fun. That is what life is all about.

We had great entertainment by Frank Tuma after our Valentine's party. Played BINGO, had more parties, played games, had church services and communion, 4-H groups visited, had a beach party with volleyball, enjoyed card club, had lots of visitors, exercises, Rehab with Rose, sending & receiving E-mails and web cam videos to & from families, piano music by Audrey, great Carry Grant movies on the big screen & the Super Bowl, our community coffee & even the K, 1st & 2nd grade catholic children came to sing for us. And in March we have already started to be just as busy. We love it.

Also this summer Bobbie Awe will be here to entertain and boy are we excited about that! What a courtyard party we will have then.

Thanks to all our wonderful & dedicated staff so all these accomplishments can be done to make this HOME for our family here at the Manor.
